Palm Trees In Hawaii Metal

Beginning of year in Rome

In recent days a year 2010 and the first of this, the Pope reiterated his voice of solidarity to care for victims of winter in Colombia. All the aid of the Church, have been channeled through the parishes. The Catholic Church in the world will help in the reconstruction of the affected populations. Pope elevates prayers for the families of the victims and encourages them to move forward.

This week we had pleasant visits. The first was courtesy of the Ambassador of Ecuador to the Holy See, Don Luis La Torre, with whom we deal with different issues and find that we are in tune to advance mutual projects throughout the year. It was clear that both diplomatic missions have the support and brotherhood that we have always been united as a country and now in the same mission with the church.

Another meeting this week was the Chief of Protocol at the Vatican, Monsignor Fortunatus Nwachukw and Monsignor Carlos Namei to our residence. Talked with them, among other things, the contest Avenc "Meeting with the Pope at World Youth Day 2011."

After that first week, we are profoundly glad all the ideas, projects and plans that are beginning to bear, including the celebration of 25 anniversary of the visit of Pope John Paul II to Colombia and the meetings we will have in Bogotá and Rome , and we welcome the initiative of a group of Colombian journalists, to make a documentary about the visit and the legacy left by John Paul II, 25 years later.

We have also received work of young people, that already are participating in the "Meeting with the Pope on World Youth Day 2011 to be held in Madrid in August.

From the hand of the Virgin of Chiquinquirá, patroness of Colombia, began this year with more hope and service provision.
