After Plan B Where Does The Egg Go

Bitterness: CANCER OF THE SOUL

He.12: 15.

Purpose: To motivate the congregation to destroy any sense of bitterness in their hearts with God's help.

Introduction:

1. The bitterness has been an ancient evil that has been at the heart of mankind since its inception.

2. is also Christians, He.12: 15. Failure to detect and destroy time brings deadly consequences, and eternal damnation.

I- What is the bitterness?

A. is a feeling of anger, resentment, unforgiveness, sadness, grudge . Etc.

B. is sin , Eph.4: 31.

C. The bitterness is hard to detect . The Bible mentions as a root of bitterness because it is not seen. Usually we do not realize that some of our behaviors and reactions are due to ulterior motives in the depths of our being, either by a swollen childhood pain, or who have suffered abuse at the hands of someone dear. As the bitterness is a hidden evil, people can hardly recognize that they are prey to it. So the writer of Hebrews says " Look good" , RV60. He.12: 15. Czech novelist, Franz Kafka, wrote about the bitterness: "The gesture of bitterness of man is often only the petrified bewilderment of a child." (1883-1924). is novelty, it bitter reactions in one person may be negative feelings that have been hiding from childhood.

D. But it is very easy to justify : "The Christian feels guilty when he commits a sin. However, we do not feel guilty of sin for us bitter when someone sins against us, because the victim's perception of being eclipsed any sense of guilt. Therefore, this sin of bitterness is very easy to justify. " [1]

E. Who might cause any root of bitterness?

1. Our parents . The treatment they gave us brings bad memories and feel a grudge against them.

2. Our partner . You have not filled our expectations and habits disturb us. At the same time, we could not forgive the offense that we did.

3. Our children . Not what we expected. Prv.17: 25.

4. A brother , hurt us deeply.

5. Someone from the church , behavior irritates us because we do not forget the discrepancy n she had to swallow us.

6. A friend .

7. The person mocked us.

8. The fact let alone communicate , Job 7:11, 10:1, could end in bitterness.

9. The consequences of disobedience can be bitter, La.3: 5.15.

10. As in the case of the Israelites, Ex.1: 14, forced work or where we are treated so badly you can create discomfort in us, and that bitterness can be a sequel .

F. How can we know if we contaminated with bitterness?

1. Is there anything that constantly disturbs us?

2. Will some form of revenge for the harm done?

3. Remember the smallest details of these offenses?

4. Do you feel offended and think you have reason to be resentful?

5. does angry reactions by insignificant?

6. When reading the Bible, applying its teachings to others, especially the offender, or himself?

II- WHAT CAUSES EFFECTS bitterness?

A. Steals the joy of God that every Christian has to undergo, Gal.5: 22. The joy, the joy and pleasure of living are overshadowed by a feeling mortified. We are called to live in joy forever, 1Tsl.5: 16 and Fil.4 4.

B. respiratory diseases (influenza, asthma, coughs, sinusitis, etc). Heart Diseases (Angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, etc.) Diseases of the circulatory system (poor circulation, varicose veins, cholesterol, etc.).

C. The bitterness is accompanied hatred, self-pity, resentment, the desire for revenge.

D. Jaime Miron mentions seven serious consequences of the bitterness, all negative for the person who suffers from this evil

1. The bitterness prevents people understand God's purposes in certain situations . A person suffering from any particular situation, you may be focusing all their attention on the pain and not what God wants to teach in that situation. But we must remember that God is able to use everything for the sake of their children, Ro.8: 28.

2. The roots of bitterness defile many. He.12: 15 mentions this result. People with bitterness, not only live with this suffering, but also harm people nearby, who suffer the consequences and attitudes of someone bitter. A very prominent feature of the bitterness is that we are bitter against people close to us.

3. Stops people make healthy choices, it clouds the reason, Sal.73: 21.22.

4. bitter spirit masquerading as wisdom or discernment . A person with a spirit of bitterness consider your reasons strong enough, and is completely convinced he is right to feel how it feels, and is able to convince others of the same.

5. Da the devil , Eph.4: 26.

6. bitter spirit can cause physical problems . Diseases, insomnia, depression, etc. Many suffer from afflictions that can arise in the bitter resentment felt. We can be medicated, but if the root of evil does not disappear, it will be useless to improve with medical treatment.

7. is left of the grace of God, He.12: 15. This is the most serious consequence, it is to lose the salvation of our souls. Why? For the grace of God is linked with forgiveness, and who is unable to forgiveness for any stay bitter resentment in his heart, it is impossible to receive forgiveness from the Lord, Mt.6: 13.14.

8. Is.38: 15. could not sleep because of the bitterness that was in the soul.

III- HEAL HOW THE bitterness?

A. The grass is cut with a machete, grows back because the roots are left in the ground. What made the grass grow, still remained in the land, so if evil is not removed from the inside, can not be deleted. In our congregation we are cultivating a garden. We have planted several ornamental plant species, but inevitably, the weed grows with ornamental seedlings. Have cut the weeds with gardening tools, but few days later grow back, spoiling the landscape of the garden. The only solution we can implement is to start from the grass roots, to ensure that does not grow too long.

B. Dr. Jaime Miron in his book "The bitterness, sin more contagious," explains

"The bitterness is the result of very deep, perhaps deeper life. The reason why it is so difficult to eradicate is threefold: First , the victim believes that the offense is the fault of another person (and often is true) and reason: "He / she must come to me for forgiveness and repent to God. I am the victim. " [2]

C. However, God commands:" away from you the bitterness, passion, anger, yelling, insults and all kinds of evil . Eph.4: 31. DHH. The Ausejo biblical version versíoculo says this: " away from you all bitterness " ... in all versions, once sent, it will also mention other acts, which no doubt stem from bitterness. therefore destroy the bitterness, you destroy the root of all evils: the passions, anger, yelling, insults, and evil, not to mention many other things that could be added.

D. Remedies for bitterness

1. We must pray by people who have hurt us, Job.42 :7-9. Jesus commanded us to pray for those who have harmed us because he knew it was better for us than for them, for making sentences for offenders, we are forgiving them without realizing it. Prayer frees us from emotional ties, especially bitterness.

2. Breaking strengths , 2Cor.10 5. Every thought opposed to the will of God is a fortress, has power over us, but we must identify and combat with the powerful weapon of truth. Therefore, it is necessary to give up all the pain that we cause someone.

3. We must recognize the bitterness as sin , Eph.4: 31. If we hold bitter feelings against individuals, we can not right before God, because sin alienates man from his creator, Is.59: 1.2.

4. We recognize as a danger and away from it, because if we keep it and love we risk losing our salvation, He.12: 15.

5. We Forgive deeply. Ishmael was Abraham's first son. Due to conflicts that existed between Hagar, mother of Ishmael, and Sarah, wife of Abraham, he had to take Hagar to his house along with his son Ismael, Gn.21 :10-14. It is clear that Ishmael had to face difficult circumstances, and although he had reason to hate his father for having missed his home, following instructions from his wife, when Abraham was about to die, Ismael attended his father, and together with his brother, Isaac, Abraham buried, who had driven from his home years ago, Gn.25: 9 .

CONCLUSION:

1. While Job's friends had not been good, God told him to pray for them to forgive, Job.42 :7-9. Job was wounded and sore, however, did not wait to heal to pray for his friends. Bitterness makes us feel deep wounded heart, but God commands us to pray for those who have harmed us, Mt.5: 44, though we feel bad. And when you stand praying, forgive what they have against another, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. Mc.11: 25, DHH.

2. When you forgive glorify God, because you make your will to forgive as he will ask, well, although you good reasons for revenge, let him do it for you, so too do his will, so why not place that belongs to him.

3. San Pablo followed his own advice when he left the vengeance in the hands of God, 2: Ti.4.14.

4. A famous painter had to make the portrait of Alexander. Should represent the great conqueror of the most worthy and faithful. As this was an ugly and very visible scar on the forehead, the artist was in a bind: If I leave the scar, he thought, that disfigure the monarch, but if you take it off, the image will not be faithful. What do I have to do? Then he painted the king thinking, his hand on his forehead and an elongated finger hiding the wound. Thus, the children of God should meditate on how to put the finger of love on the shortcomings or weaknesses of their brothers in faith. Our natural inclination is rather to emphasize or increase.
