A Mass of beatification of John Paul II in St. Peter's Square, attended by Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin and Ambassador of Colombia to the Holy See Cesar Mauricio Velasquez, accompanied by Senator Rafael Pardo, president of the Liberal Party, José Darío Salazar, president of the Conservative Party, Father Camilo Bernal, director of the Seine and Carlos Salazar, director of the Foundation Revel.

The Mass was celebrated by Colombian Cardinal Dario Castrillon and concelebrated by Archbishop Emeritus of Bogotá, Cardinal Pedro Rubiano and Archbishop Octavio Ruiz, vice president of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America, they were joined by 18 priests from different regions of the country.
At the end of the Mass the Cardinal invited all participants to light a candle and read out a brief prayer for peace in Colombia, made by Juan Pablo II in Armero, Tolima. Then Maria Angela Holguin Chancellor gave commemorative medals of the 25 years of apostolic visit of the new blessed our country and the Cardinals Castrillón Rubiano.
On Monday May 3, Chancellor and part of the official delegation attending the thanksgiving Mass in St. Peter's Square, celebrated by Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Secretary of State, who acknowledged the presence of thousands pilgrims and representatives of countries around the world in this historic celebration.
At the end of the agenda in Rome Ambassador Cesar Mauricio Velasquez, delegation and invited the Colombian residents in Rome at the pre premiere of audio visual "footprint and Camino" that collects in 50 minutes time of the visit of John Paul II Paoa to Colombia. The documentary, made by the producer Ignacio Penagos, with the group's original song Antioquia Floor 21 and original music band Iñigo Pirfano English master, it becomes a piece of history to remember and live the mark of a saint.
